Books+MP3+CD, No pronunciation scores, Cheap, ★★★★
Books and audio can be bought and used separately, but are best together, for about $70-100 per language. Audio is about 2 hours, half in the target language, but with background noise (street, store, etc.) and unprofessional voices.
Excellent teaching of vocabulary, grammar, and the alphabet where needed, in 60 languages. Marred by typos and some words not defined, so get a dictionary too. Older editions tend to be more thorough if you find them. Each language has its own authors, some of which are the same as the "Teach Yourself" series. (Click for Arguelles' review.)
