Review of Passport to Languages, from eLanguage.com
MP3+video+web, No pronunciation scores, Cheap,
They teach 35 languages in a combined package ($20), without speech recognition, though it does record and let you compare yourself to their native speaker. They explain in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish. There is no documentation of how much this teaches. A better deal may be Byki's package of 1,500 words in each of 76 languages, with speech recognition to check your pronunciation.

They also have more detailed packages in English, French, German, and Spanish, reviewed separately

  • Listen 'n Learn is a cassette or CD of dialog with accompanying text.
  • Practice & Improve is a longer audio melodrama to draw intermediate learners into practice with listening.
  • Drive-in has songs and games for children to listen to, sing and play with.
